Welcome to Friends of March Global Port

March Global Port is the master developer of the March Inland Port  and holds the potential of opening Riverside County’s economy to the world, creating an environment where residents can work near to where they live, participate in their communities and spend more time with their families rather than on the freeway.

Because you are a stakeholder in the economy and community of western Riverside County, I want to keep you updated on the efforts of March Global Port development team at the March Inland Port. Beginning January of this year, it has been my pleasure to serve as the new co-manager of the March Global Port.
 
Although the new management team of the March Global Port will not dwell on the past, we have learned from it and will incorporate those important lessons as we focus on working with community stakeholders to create the airport of the 21st century. Transparency is at the core of our corporate culture. We will develop March Global Port in a public fashion. We understand that there are those in the community, for reasons of their own, who oppose air operations at March, an air base that has been serving our region and our nation for nearly a century. However, we remain committed to working with the March JPA to finalize the airport master plan and to build a new Fixed Base Operation that will open March up for general aviation.  We have generated interest from several aviation related businesses who want to relocate their operations to March and want to become part of our community. We are optimistic about the future and will do what is right to create opportunities for commercial operations at March.

March Global Port is comprised of partners who have more than 150 years of combined commitment to the economic and social well being of western Riverside County. We are resolved to work through the challenges of developing the airport in these difficult economic times and ask for your support. March’s location and large aviation capacity make it a prized asset for our region. Only by working together with all community stakeholders can March become an economic engine for jobs and a prosperous quality of life for our communities.
